Black Swan Press
Visual/Interaction 2017 Black Swan Press is a literary press I started with a few friends to help aspiring poets and authors get started writing.
The website is a fully responsive Drupal site to accept submissions on any device. It features a fully CSS3 background and very few and small image files to limit the data that must be downloaded to view it. It is also very accessible and screenreader friendly.
For example, the view that you see on this page is the Home Page, which does not require ANY traditional bitmap images to be rendered. The Swan logo is an SVG (which is generated through XML) and the background is all generated in browser with CSS3. The total page size is ~130KB!
